How Does This Work?
We've made the process as simple and easy as possible! We've broken down the process into two main categories:
Listing as a Seller:
List with us then kick back and relax! By using our listing services we'll take care of all of the following issues and more: providing customer service, having to deal with returns, etc!
Steps Broken Down For A Seller:
1. Submit the Seller's Application Form.
2. Once the application has been approved, we will create a listing for your products.
3. If a buyer decides to purchase an item from you, we will notify you immediately and send you a PO (Purchase Order) for the items.
4. Once the PO has been accepted, we will need you to ship the product(s) out within 3 business days. If you fail to do so, the transaction will be canceled and the buyer will receive a refund.
5. Once the product arrives at our facility, we (Nerd Gearz) will verify it's condition as well as run test/benchmarks to ensure that the product is in it's described condition (does not apply to for-parts listings). This process typically takes 1-2 days depending on the size of the order.
If the product fails our testing, we will return the item to you and will charge you for return shipping and cancel the transaction.
6. If the product passes our QC (quality control) testing, we will immediately pack the product and ship it out to the buyer on the same or next business day.
7. After the buyer receives their product, they will have 48 hours to inspect/verify the product's condition. Once the buyer has verified the condition or 48 hours has eclipsed, we will release your funds via your preferred method of payment (Wire Transfer or Nerd Gearz Store Credit).
NOTE: All transactions are final due to the nature of the products being sold.
Seller's Fees: The seller is subject to a 10% fee only when an item has sold.
NOTE: Please note that we will mark up the asking price on items by 5% as a buyer's fee. This extra 5% fee is to cover our testing and repackaging services, this will NOT be added onto the seller's final value.
Listing as a Buyer:
Take the guesswork out of negotiating with a seller! With our buying listing services you can now state exactly how much you're willing to pay for your hardware!
Steps Broken Down For A Buyer:
1. Submit The Buyer's Form.
2. Once the Buyer's Form has been approved, we will list a WTB (Want to buy) post.
3. If A seller decides to sell to you, we will contact you immediately and send you an invoice.
4. Once the invoice is paid, the seller will be required to send us (Nerd Gearz) the product within 3 business days. If the seller fails to ship the item out within 3 business days, the transaction will be cancelled and you will be refunded.
5. Once the item arrives at our (Nerd Gearz) facility, we will confirm the product's condition as well as test/benchmark it's functionality. This process typically takes 1-2 business days depending on the size of the order.
6. If the product passes our inspections, the product will then be shipped to you.
7. As the buyer, you will have the responsibility to retest or double check the product's condition and functionality within 48 hours. If a response is not provided within 48 hours, we will automatically assume that the item is as described and the transaction will be marked as complete.
NOTE: After a transaction has been marked as complete, you will no longer be eligible for a refund if the product is found to be defective or isn't as described.
Buyer's Fees: For any buying listings and any selling listings we will mark up the asking price by 5%. For example, if you want to buy an RX 580 for $100, we will put the buying price as $105. The extra 5% will NOT be paid out to the buyer, this fee is to cover the costs of QC testing the products as well as repackaging them from the seller.
A buyer is required to submit a Buyer's Form. The Buyer's Form outlines the guidelines in which a buyer must abide by as well as the fees associated with using our services.
